Summer 09

My first summer as a college student! Woah, things went on pretty quick. Being in La Salle, the three-month summer break was cut down to one month and four days. Yep, a short summer break. My break was mainly utilized as a, what else, break. I did nothing for the past few weeks. I was literally a couch potato. Thus, when May came in, I got up and soaked up with productive things. So, this blog is simply a journal for the last few moments of my precious summer break.
May 1, Friday -- Labor's day. I went to a roadtrip with my family. We gone south to San Juan to soak up with as much vitamin E that we can! Thankfully, it didn't rain. The ride was the best part, as always. The conversation never seemed to end, and when it does, here comes the soundtrip to save us. We spent the whole afternoon at the beach, swimming, making sand sculptures, beach-y things. Finally, a day off with my family!
May 2, Saturday -- did laundry =.=
May 3, Sunday -- dad watched the Pacquiao-Hatton match the whole day, so I spent my day playing My Sims Kingdom in our Nintendo DS
May 4, Monday -- went to the groceries. I just discovered that Claude Debussy has the same birthday as me <3 I was born for Twilight hahaha!
May 5, Tuesday -- I have had enough of boring stuff, so I tried what I've always wanted to do -- learn to play the guitar. I spent an hour listening to some British dude named Steve McKay, and I did not learn a thing from him except for his 'Easter Bunny Gets Drunk At Easter' chord-naming thing. I gave up on him and went to the ever-reliable youtube.com. I sort of learned the keys to 'Love Story' by Taylor Swift. I was so fulfilled when I made the guitar sound like I was actually playing the song.
May 6, Wednesday -- went shopping at 168 Mall for next term. My wardrobe is running low on supplies so mom and I filled it up once more. Day 2 of guitar lesson in a little while ;o)
May 7, Thursday -- what a rainy day! Day 3 of guitar lesson. I moved on to Plain White T's 'Hey There Delilah' coz apparently, it is much easier than 'Love Story'. So far, I am doing okay with it. hopefully, this would be the first song that I'd learn to play. *crosses fingers*
